About Us

From our beginning, Blessing Bank® has had one mission:
We want to provide a meaningful gift that will give children an opportunity to learn about generosity and the Christian principle of tithing.

Our banks reflect our desire to blend form and function into a sturdy, yet beautiful handmade piece that will last for generations. Whether used as a tithing or savings bank for helping those in need, we believe the Blessing Bank will help nurture a giving spirit that will grow with the individual for a lifetime.

Our Story

Finding a purpose in life takes on a sense of urgency when dealing with a chronic illness like Cystic Fibrosis.

After reading Same Kind of Different As Me, I became even more confident that the Lord does indeed have a reason for me being on this earth. I began praying that He would show me my purpose. Because my husband and I cannot have children of our own, I prayed for us to make a difference together. After several months of praying, an idea became a passion and before we knew it, Blessing Bank became a reality.

It happened one day while I was shopping for my two precious nephews. I became frustrated at the lack of options. Everything I found was just another toy and I knew it would be quickly cast aside, without any lasting impact or memory.

Right there in the middle of the store, God gave me the idea for a gift and parenting tool that would inspire children to give.

It is our sincere hope that Blessing Bank will bless your life, your children's lives and the lives of others, as it has blessed us.

Testimonials

I love my Blessing Bank and I'm so glad that you and my parents are teaching me to give to others! Anderson Oct.18, 2008

Thank you so much for sending the girls the adorable "Blessing Boxes". They were thrilled and have already started saving money in them. You are helping to teach them an incredible godly lesson. Thank you. Maribeth

Thank you so much for thinking of us! Heather asked me to send you a letter and see if you would consider putting the banks in the store for a 3 month trial period on consignment. Fourth quarter is already set for budget but if the banks did well we could discuss buying quantities in spring. Please contact me with your thoughts. Deborah

Thank you so much for thinking of my sweet babies. The Blessing Banks are something they will cherish forever. What an amazing gift! I am so, so proud of you and know your business will be so successful and will "bless" so many people. Tiff

Thank you so much for the precious "blessing banks". You gave to all the kids. They have been loving and playing with them and asking Daddy for "more quarters". ? What a great way to get them all excited and teach them about giving. We appreciate you thinking of us during this exciting time for our family. Carrie

Thank you so much for the precious blessing bank for Miller! It is such a sweet thing for little ones to learn about giving back to the church. You were so thoughtful to think of Miller and help us celebrate his arrival. Carrie and Miller

The banks are so lovely and very special to me. I'm glad I recognized you in "What Difference....". Durel

Thank you so much for sending the blessing boxes. I had ordered two from you a while back for my granddaughters. This year, I wanted to give each of my great-nieces and nephews one for Christmas. They have great parents who are guiding them along, but I wanted to reach in and help a little in this way. I'm so happy to know that you're feeling better after your most recent round of illness. Our corporate prayers were focused on you and many of us individually stopped several times daily and lifted you in prayers again. God is good! Thanks again! Lynn Nov. 8, 2010

Thank you so much for thinking of Lilly on her birthday! And thanks also for including us in the Blessing Bank family! The bank is beautiful, as are the sentiments behind it. What an amazing business — way to go! Have a wonderful summer! Sam, Jay and Lillian

Thank you for the "Blessing Bank". It was one of my favorite Christmas presents because it had a purpose. It is also a good reminder that this time of season is about GIVING not being gifted to. My sisters and I need to be frequently reminded of that, as we have everything we could want. Emily

Thank you so much for the bank you sent Presley — what a sweet gift! We appreciate your thoughtfulness and hope you get to meet the little lady soon. She is a sweetie and I know I will get to teach her some great life lessons with her blessing bank. Thank you again. The Millers

Thank you for the beautiful Blessing Bank for baby Ethan. What a wonderful and meaningful gift — we love it! We really appreciate your thoughtfulness. The Van Duinens

Thank you so much for the beautiful blessing bank that you gave to Ford. It is such a special gift, and he and I will treasure it forever! Tamara

Thank you and Matt for the wonderful little blessings bank. What a special keepsake and activity for the boys. Thank you again for the thoughtful gift. Amy

Once again we wanted to thank you for giving a Blessing Bank to each of our kiddos! Some are better than others at using it, but hopefully they'll all come around (hint, hint...Greedy Luke!). Also, I'm not sure what your distribution/marketing strategies are, but here's a biz card to a really neat little boutique here in Richardson. I think they'd be perfect to sell your banks. Just something to file away. ? Kathy

Thank you so much for the blessing bank for Hunter! It is such a neat idea and a great way to teach about the Lord's blessings in our lives! The bank is beautiful — you did a great job! Hope all is well with you both! Thank you again! Chris, Sarah and Hunter

Thank you so much for helping us celebrate the birth of Lily Kate. I love the blessing box! It's such a wonderful and unique idea for children. I can't wait until Lily Kate is old enough to contribute to it on her own. You are sweet and thoughtful to think of us. Carrie, Jamey and Lily Kate

Thanks so much for the cute little charity boxes for the girls. What a great idea! Abby gets a dollar a week, so she's putting 10 cents in there every Friday. She's happy with that because she loves giving "to help kids who don't have mommies or daddies, or any toys". And, she has enough left to buy herself some candy, which is the ultimate goal she works for all week. Kaitlyn so far has put a paper clip and some ribbon in there. She'll get in a few years! Susan

Britt and I are thrilled with your "Blessing Bank" business. Such a simple, thoughtful and useful product. What wonderful gifts they will make. With all the many blessings God has bestowed on us it is so very important to teach our kids about love, kindness, generosity, and taking care of others. Britt would love to carry the Blessing Banks in his store. He has lots of moms that come in that would be thrilled with them. If possible I would love to share some of your business cards or postcards around with me. I have already shared with many of my mom friends and you would not believe the enthusiasm and interest in your idea. Tonia - Nov 7, 2009

What I have is great! I'm giving everything as Christmas gifts along with the book "What Difference Do It Make?" I love your idea! I believe you are making a difference! Thank you. Love and Joy in Jesus, Kathie - Dec. 5, 2009

I read about your story in "What Difference do it Make?" and thought that this is such a wonderful idea! My children and I make up "blessing bags" to take and hand out to the homeless and my 3 year old thinks it's so much fun to give to "someone who doesn't have nuffin". I plan on ordering one of these for each child in our lives this year for their birthdays. Thank you so much for your commitment to children and teaching them that it truly is more blessed to give than receive! In Christ, Lindsay - Jan. 6, 2010

I loved the Blessing Bags...and so do my kids. Thank you so much for sending them! Be well...and thanks. Sara - Jan. 20, 2010

I am reading "What Difference Do It Make" now & just got to "your" chapter! What an incredible idea! I immediately checked out your web page & WOW!!! The banks & bags look so good! And reasonably priced! I will be ordering a few for relatives soon............but for now I just want to tell you how encouraging your story is to me as one also looking for that special purpose! Your story reminds me that it is all in His time & in His way. Thank you so much for sharing. Tamsen in Augusta, GA. - Jan. 26, 2010

I recently ordered 8 of the Blessing Banks and received them last week. Just wanted you to know how pleased I am w/ the structure & beauty of the banks. I look forward to giving them to our grandchildren soon. Thanks too for the Blessing Bags. Those are really neat. Linda, Shreveport, LA. - Jan. 30, 2010

Just finished the chapter in this book that told about your web site and most of all your blessing of teaching kids to give. I just wanted to write you and tell you that in a place that I work part time I just saw giving like this through adults. May God Bless your desire to give to others. Thanks for sharing your story. Glenda, Bryant Elementary. - Feb. 7, 2010

This is a wonderful idea...........I read about it in the book What Difference Do It Make. If we teach our children (and in my case grandchild) to open their hearts and give back at a young age, what a difference it will make in our world! Thank you for these two wonderful products! I would love to have a couple of your Little Blessings Bags. Again, thank you for this fabulous product! Marcia - Feb. 8, 2010

What marvelous Idea! I read, what difference do it make, and I am now reading: same kind of different as me. Thank you. Francesco - June 18, 2010

I am very impressed by your story as revealed in WHAT DIFFERENCE DO IT MAKE, and asked myself if there was something I might be able to do to help others as you have been inspired to do? Personally, I would like to see your blessing banks given to the parishioners, communicants and congregations of every church and charitable organization in America! I simply very much admire you for what you and your family have been inspired to do for our Lord. Bless you, Phillip.- July 12, 2010

I am reading "What difference do it make?" and read your beautiful story. God bless you!!! Your banks are beautiful and your heart for children is an inspiration. Thank you for telling your story of the difference these two books have made in your life. It gives me much encouragement. I hope you are doing well health wise. Blessings, Brenda - July 13, 2010

I read and gave my brother Same Kind of Different as Me. He recently had a knee replacement, so I gave him the only copy of the sequel of the book that I could find. He called to tell me about your banks. I looked on your web site and think they are a perfect. Gail. Tampa, FL.- Aug. 09, 2010

Hi, my name is Linda. I was wondering if there is a discount if you purchase larger quantities of the blessing bags? My granddaughter Carsyn is seven and very interested in helping others. Carsyn wanted to help in some way. As I was reading "What difference do it make?" I saw your inspirational idea and checked out your website. I think these bags would be awesome for my granddaughter and her friends to fill for these families. Please let me know if I could purchase these for my granddaughter. Oct. 18, 2010

Hi my name is Miller ! I am only 10 but your story touched me and my friend Mary Emily's heart. We were talking about how we all feel that God is calling all of us to do something. We all felt that your idea was great! A few girls in my grade are reading the book "Same Kind of Different as Me." We all LOVE it so far. Hope you're well. Nov. 1, 2010

Hey I am Mary Emily and I just want to thank you for all that you have done for all for our lower school! I am 10 years old an at our school (Trinity Presbyterian School) in Montgomery Alabama our Spanish teacher had read the books 'Same Kind of Different as Me' and your book, 'What difference Do it Make?' and told us about you and how God called you to do something for children even though you couldn't be around them. I promise I almost cried!!! The Blessing Banks to me are one of the greatest Christian ideas I have ever heard! Our Spanish teacher emailed you and you sent us one for free. Thank you so much! We have raised over $300 for one of our very own 6 grader's father who is a doctor and does a clinic with Spanish speaking people. He asked us if we could raise money for Spanish Bibles. Our First Baptist Church family had an idea that if we could get some for our church. My pastor loves the idea! Anyways thank you sssssoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much for what you have done for all of us at the Trinity family! Nov. 10, 2010

Thank you very much! I absolutely LOVE the bank! I am giving it to my grandson for Christmas! He will love it! Marcia.- Nov. 2, 2010

I just wanted to thank you for what you are doing. I have read both of Ron and Denver's books and your testimony in the second one is what caused me to buy a bank. I have three children and always wondered what I could do to make them understand how lucky they are for what they have. My kids range from the age 5 — 12 and I needed something that would make sense and be tangible to all of them. I have ordered a blessing bank to give them for Christmas. Once they fill it up, I will allow them to choose the charity it goes to. Bless you and your selflessness. Tonya, Waco, Texas.- Nov. 25, 2010

Thanks so much! I would like to have 2 more bags (one of each style). I am going to give them to my Sunday School class (middle school age). I think they will really like this idea. Margo - Nov. 12, 2010
